How she became the most expensive Barbie in the world? Mattel commissioned Australian jewellery designer, STEFANO CANTURI, to create the finger-wide neckpiece and tiny matching ring to promote the new Barbie collection.
The neckpiece is made from three carats of white diamonds set around a one carat, square emerald -cut pink diamond.
But Stefano Canturi didn't just bling out Barbie!
He also designed her black strapless party dress, peep-toe stilettos & styled her tumbling blonde hair.
And well worth it. She was auctioned at Christie's New York for $302,500
