This just hit home for me so I thought I'd share...
I've always made an effort to be cool with everyone, avoid conflict, etc. etc. But some people are just not going to like you no matter what you say or do. In fact, some people aren't going to like you BECAUSE of what you say and do - even if what you are saying and doing is GOOD! Its just a fact of life... I've known this for years, but I think I've finally come to terms with it...

great book, great author, but never meant too be taken too literally. ive seen too many people live by that book and drive themselves insane.
but that quote is the truth...i think i recall a certain lovely lady giving me that same piece of advice a time or two before.
